MATTHEW 23:32 FILL UP THEN THE MEASURE OF YOUR FATHERS

We have studied many of Jesus’ words and now we are approaching His teaching concerning the last days, the end time. In Matthew 24:3, the disciples asked Jesus, Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age? In theology, the subject of ‘the end of the age’ is called ‘eschatology.’ Eschatology is from the Greek word eschatos, which means ‘last.’ So eschatology is the teaching concerning the last things, the things which will come as this age draws to a close. Notice that we are not talking about the end of the world. The end of the world, if we speak of it in absolute terms, is mentioned in Revelation where we are told about a ‘new heaven and a new earth.’ It is also seen in 2Peter where Peter writes that ‘this world will be destroyed with intense heat.’
